Our Heirloom Tomatoes.

Back in January-February, Mr. Hawthorne and I bought some heirloom tomatoes at Harris Teeter. We saved the seeds and planted them in February, then eventually I transplanted them out in my garden.
We've been picking tomatoes for a couple of months now, but these we picked yesterday afternoon were unusually large. I put the cereal box in there for comparison.
Whoot!

Ah yes, The "Sample - Not For Resale" label does kinda give it away.
You rascal.

Bitch.

And I mean that in the nicest way.

I know you use that as a term of endearment Rosie. And believe me, the feeling is mutual. ;-)

Not to doubt you or anything, Rosie, but I doubted you. But those are bea-utiful tomatoes. And I would say that even in a year when my tomatoes weren't struggling due to cool, wet weather. Honest!
