Mr. Hawthorne Cooks Dinner. Tilefish, Zucchini, Onions, And A Special Corn Dish.

Mr. Hawthorne cooked Tuesday's dinner. It was light, flavorful, and satisfying. Of course, it tasted really good. I try not to use the word "delicious." It means everything and it means nothing. So it's not a good word. You can't describe food as "delicious." You need to describe the food. And you can't do that by saying "delicious."
But, shit! This was delicious!!! Baked tile fish with zucchini and onions and Mr. Hawthorne's special corn dish.
Mr. Hawthorne cleaned the fish first by removing some skin that was left on.
Then he removed the darker bloodlines which can have a strong, fishy taste.
He arranged the fillets in his baking dish and ...
topped with sliced onions ...
... and sliced zucchini.
Next, he drizzled some EVOO on top. He explained he wanted some of the fruity flavor of the EVOO with the fish.
Salt.
Pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 - 25 minutes.
Mr. Hawthorne nuked the corn dish he made the other day. This is quite a good dish. First Mr. Hawthorne fried up some bacon, then added some corn cut off the cob. A little sprinkling of flour, then a bit of heavy cream. Delightful.
And here's dinner. Baked tile fish, zucchini, and onions. Bacon and corn.
You really should try doing corn like this. It's amazingly good.
Light, tender, flaky tile fish.
Crisp/tender zucchini.
Excellent meal. Very light. Perfect dinner for a hot summer night.
The Hawthorne puppies relax after a long day of play.
Giada is such a sweet girl.
Beau has a problem with his feet and Giada knows this.
She's licking his poor little paws to help his feet heel.
And she'll lick each paw.
That's so sweet.
