God help me.
I watch The Next Food Network Star.
There.
I admitted it.
On a recent episode,
Aarti made a dish the judges loved.
In spite of that,
I decided to make it myself
because it sounded intriguing and basically good to me.
The recipe is for
Ground Lamb Kofto Kebabs with Pomegranate Glaze,
Bengali Spiced Potatoes, and Persian Cucumber Raita.
Here's Aartie's recipe.
And here's Aartie's dish
from a pic I snagged off the Food Network site:
Please stick around,
since I'll be offering you each element in this dish.
Here's a sneak peak of what's to come:
(Photos and phood by Rosie.)
Here are my lamb kabobs,
languishing in a sensuous pool
of pomegranate molasses,
hash browns exuding
the warmth of Rosie's 10-Spice Powder,
and the cool, palate-cleansing, minty cucumber raita.
Grilled lamb kabobs
in a pomegranate reduction.

This is the kind of meal
I've been having a hankering for -
something with spices and flavors
I don't ordinarily use
and someone to tell me how to use them.
And for that,
I thank Aarti.
For that matter,
here's my 2 cents:
I hope she wins it.
I want different food
and she offers different.
I hope you enjoy.
I watch the show too, hiding my face.. who do you like?
