Saturday Dinner. A Fried Feast. Sometimes Your Body Needs Fried.

My body is a temple. When it calls out to me, I listen. The other day, my body called out to me, "Rosie. Rosie! Rosie!!" I hark you, body. "Give me FRIED." Mmmmkay.
Before we start frying, here's the scene off my deck. We got a delicious, much needed rain.
Beer-batter fried mahi mahi. Mr. Hawthorne used McCormicks's Beer Batter Seafood Batter Mix.
On to the veggies.
I don't usually endorse certain products,
but I love my Zyliss peeler. It's great for peeling peaches and even tomatoes.
Zucchini and squash from my garden. Don't you like my conjoined squash? Mr. H's fried zucchini slices.
Fried mahi.
Giada and Junior hanging out in the kitchen. Waiting for a morsel.
Beau checking out the action.
Vegetables are good for you.
These little crunchies are the best.
Wonderful crunch on the outside. Sweet zucchini on the inside.
I'm serving the fried zukes with Rosie's Pig Shack Sauce, her version of Boar and Castle Sauce, and her Mango Pineapple Habanero Salsa.
Aren't these beautiful?
I love puffy.
A little Pig Shack Sauce.
Half of these didn't even make it to the table.
Frying is such a mess. But it's worth every bit. Bon appetit!
