Another Day In The Elizabethan Gardens.

Today, Mr. Hawthorne and I went to our second class at the Elizabethan Gardens.
This one was about history, mystery, and fantasy.
I'll just shut up and show you the pictures I took as we walked around through the
gardens listening to the many interesting stories our
entertaining lecturer related.

That's particularly gorgeous given the snow and cold here in Chicago!

What is the knobby tree in the square with the yellow flowers around it?

Carolyna, that would be the pruned Crape Myrtle. They're everywhere down here. Have beautiful blooms- white, pink, purples - no smell.
