Christmas Baking. Day 9. Cookie #23. Chocolate Fudge.

Of course a Christmas gift basket wouldn't be complete without chocolate fudge.
I got this recipe from Rocquie of Sage Trifle blogdom. Her recipe calls for marshmallow cream, which I didn't have, so I substituted miniature marshmallows. And thanks, Rocquie, the fudge is delicious.
Ingredients for Chocolate Fudge: 3 cups sugar 3/4 cup butter 1 5-ounce can evaporated milk 1 12-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips 7 ounces miniature marshmallows 1 cup chopped pecans 1 tsp vanilla Combine sugar, butter, and milk in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate until melted. Add in marshmallows, nuts, and vanilla, and stir until well blended. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Let cool and cut into squares.
