Christmas Baking. Day 8. Cookie #20. Heavenly Delights.

Welcome to Day 8 of my Rosiethon. Today, it's melt-in-your-mouth Heavenly Delights. They are both delightful and heavenly.
Ingredients for Heavenly Delights: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup Crisco 2/3 cup sifted powdered sugar (Sift before measuring.) juice of 1/2 lemon 2 cups flour 1/2 cup chopped pecans sifted powdered sugar Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add in 2/3 cup powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour. Beat well. Stir in chopped pecans. Chill for several hours or over night. Shape into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove immediately and roll in powdered sugar. Cool on racks and roll again in powdered sugar.
Cream butter and shortening for about 2 minutes.
Gradually add in powdered sugar beating for about 3 minutes, until light and fluffy.
Add in lemon juice.
Add in vanilla while a big brown drooling dog watches.
Slowly add in flour at low speed so it doesn't go flying everywhere.
Keep beating while brown drooling Dixie watches.
OK, so I got a little carried away with taking pictures of Dixie.
But she's CUTE!
Add in chopped nuts.
Shape into balls and roll in powdered sugar.
Place on ungreased sheets.
Bake at 350 for twenty minutes.
Immediately roll in powdered sugar and ...
... and let cool on racks.
When cool, re-roll in powdered sugar.
Little heavenly, delightful puffs.
Be careful not to inhale the sugar. I hate it when that happens.
