Maxine is visiting,
so it's Eggs Hawthorne for breakfast!
Slices of Christmas Ham from Sister Hawthorne sauteing.
Eggs waiting to be poached in water with a little vinegar
Yolks and lemon juice waiting to be made into Hollandaise sauce
with some whisking and heating and adding of butter pats,
along with a little magic.
Spinach a-steaming.
My favorite part - the violation of the egg.
Muffins from Brother-In-Law Hawthorne, toasted,
with a slice of ham, a bed of spinach,
a 2 1/2 minute poached egg, and a tiara of Hollandaise Sauce.
Mmmm, heavenly.
ReplyDeleteLea, I love Eggs Hawthorne.
ReplyDeleteThese were well-received.
Le Peep got nuttin on you.
ReplyDeleteWe went out for brunch for my Grandma's birthday today...had Eggs Benedict with a crab cake on it. The egg yolk and crab were AWESOME together. You should try it!
ReplyDeleteAs luck would have it, Lea, I happen to have Mr. Hawthorne's crab cakes in the freezer. Thanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm thinking in addition to the Hollandaise, to make a Roasted Red Pepper Tartar Sauce - for the crab cake.
Zzzadig, as I mentioned before, the house two doors away is for sale.
ReplyDeleteI truly love your website.. Pleasant colors & theme.
