Flower Arranging For Dummies.

When I was visiting Mama Hawthorne, the Birthday Girl, earlier this month, Sister Hawthorne was engaged in a maelstrom of frenzied, frantic organizing and cleaning. The woman never sits, so this is not uncommon. I believe it to be a stress reliever for her but it is quite stressful for anyone around her. (I only wish she'd come down to visit a week or so with me and whip my house, utility room, garage, and shed into shape, not to mention my refrigerators, freezers, drawers, cabinets, and closets.) Whilst Sistah Deah was doing her groove thang, she found this little item. It's a flower arranger. I call it Flower Arranging For Dummies.
Sorry, Mama Hawthorne, but I took it. Should you want it back, just call me and in 6 hours you shall have it at your feet. When I got the"flower arranger" home, I immediately cut off some basil, stripped the bottom leaves, and put the shoots in to root.
In a few days, this basil had rooted very nicely. It's ready to plant now.
Then I went out into the garden and picked a few roses. The first roses of spring and the later roses of fall are delightful.
Enjoy.
