Saturday Morning Breakfast At Denny's.

On Friday, we logged over 400 miles from the beach to our overnight stay in Morganton, N.C. Saturday morning, we fortified ourselves with breakfast at Denny's.
These are all the booths behind where we were seated. Three empties. And we were seated in the corner booth. We are about 5 feet apart. This booth could have accommodated at least 6 people.
Mr. Hawthorne felt it necessary to cup his hands around his mouth to communicate with me.
I really didn't understand why they sat us in the corner booth ...
... but we had fun with it.
The service here was excellent. I got 6, not 5, but SIX pieces of lemon for my unsweetened tea.
I decided to write and pass notes to Mr. Hawthorne. Kinda like high school.
I had sunny side up eggs, bacon, and hash browns.
And whole wheat toast.
Mr. Hawthorne had over easy eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a pancake.
And we slid our plates across the 5-foot span between us so we could share. Fun breakfast. And now, we're ready to rock 'n' roll.
