The Rosiethon. Day 2. Peanut Butter Kisses.

The Rosiethon continues with Peanut Butter Cookies with Kisses.

Peanut Butter Cookies With Hershey Kisses

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mix together first five ingredients, then add in flour mixture.
Mix until you form a sticky dough.
Roll into small balls and place onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until just golden brown.

Now here comes the fun part of the instructions:
"Place Hershey kiss (with wrapping removed) in center of each cookie, while they are still hot."
(Emphasis mine.)

If you need to be told to remove the wrapping, maybe you shouldn't be in a kitchen.  Just sayin'...

Here's my sticky dough.

Ball away!

Soldier up your Kisses.

Remove wrapping before pressing the Kisses into the cookies

Be sure you remove the wrapping!

These are my son's favorites. He was devastated the first time he saw the recipe in a magazine ad. He thought my sister made them up!
