Thursday Night Dinner. 04/22/10

Our little week-long trip kind of put a chink in my blogging - as in I have drafts of meals from last month I've been holding to post. To wit, here's dinner Thursday, April 22. Shrimp stir fry.
Mr. Hawthorne had the honor of peeling and deveining the shrimp.
McCormick's Beer Batter mix is a staple in my kitchen. Just add beer.
Mr. Hawthorne painstakingly sliced his vegetables ...
... and carefully lined them up.
I told you he's anal.
Batter and fry ...
... and drain on paper towels.
Eat your vegetables. They're good for you!
Fried shrimpies.
Fried veggies and shrimp and Mr. Hawthorne's Tartar Sauce mixed in with some of my Remoulade Sauce. Tartar Sauce: mayo minced dill pickles minced sweet pickles dash Worcestershire sometimes a mincing of onions (I prefer red.) Remoulade Sauce: mayo coarse mustard minced celery, onion, and garlic capers white vinegar cumin, coriander, and cayenne
I crave a fry-fest every now and then. Nothin' better than fried vegetables. Healthy, too!
