Day 9 Of Rosie's Christmas Baking - Peanut Butter Blossoms.

Today, Wednesday, Day 9 of Baking, I'm making Peanut Butter Blossoms.
Peanut Butter Blossoms 48 Hershey's kisses 1/2 cup shortening 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 egg 2 TB milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt sugar Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat shortening and peanut butter. Add sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually beat into mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into center of each cookie. Makes 4 dozen cookies. Actually, mine made 58 cookies.
Cream shortening and peanut butter.
Add in sugars.
Mix well.
Add in egg.
Add in milk.
The good vanilla.
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add flour mixture to dough.
Shape into balls and roll in sugar.
Immediately after baking, press a Hershey's kiss in the center.
Oooooh. Pretty.

I put these in a single layer on a baking sheet, covered with plastic wrap, then foil, and put them in the freezer.
