One of the favorite treats
my Christmas Goodies recipients like
is the Buckeye.
Buckeyes
1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar
16 ounces peanut butter
1 cup butter, softened
12 ounces semisweet chocolate morsels
1 TB shortening
I usually use store brands for most things,
but in the case of semisweet chocolate,
the Food Lion brand is NOT anything like Hershey's.
Use Hershey's or better.
Process sugar, peanut butter, and butter
until well mixed.
Cover and chill.
Shape into small balls.
Chill.
Combine chocolate and shortening, melt.
Dip each ball in chocolate.
Place on wax paper and refrigerate.
