Day 2 Of Rosie's Christmas Baking - Snickerdoodles.

Mama's Snickerdoodles were always another favorite of mine. Can one have too many Favorites?
I love the aroma when these are cooking. Only thing else you need to make it perfect is snow falling.
Snickerdoodles Cream: 1 cup Crisco 1 1/2 cups sugar Add: 2 eggs Sift: 2 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture. Chill. Roll into small balls. Roll in 4 TB sugar and 4 TB cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes, until light brown and still soft.
Adding eggs to creamed mixture. And speaking of Crisco, don't you love it that they finally measured the sticks for you? How long did it take them to come up with that? Before when I had to measure out Crisco, I'd fill a measuring cup with water and add in enough Crisco so that the amount I needed was displaced. Messy. Now they have the Crisco sticks like butter sticks. Much better.
Sifted dry ingredients go in.
After thoroughly chilling, roll into balls and roll the balls in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
After they're baked, I give them a final sprinkling.
These smell so good and they're delicious.
